May 2008 – North General Hospital opens Arthur and Patricia Hill VIP Room

Harlem, NY – Samuel J. Daniel, M.D., President and CEO of North General Hospital, along with the Hospital’s Board of Trustees hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Arthur B. and Patricia Hill VIP Patient Room on the Hospital’s Sixth Floor. The VIP Patient Room, which was made possible by generous funding from Arthur B. and Patricia Hill, will serve as an important means of honoring the hospital’s strongest supporters, should they need to receive services at the Hospital.

Arthur B. Hill is a retired Vice President of the United Parcel Service (UPS). Mr. Hill has a history firmly rooted in civic duty and community affairs, including service in the New York City Police Department as Assistant Chief Commanding Office, Special Operations Division, before heading for corporate America with UPS. In addition, Mr. Hill is a former board member and long-time supporter of North General Hospital, helping ensure that the people of Harlem continue to have access to the best healthcare possible.

The ceremony was attended by the hospital’s Board, staff and distinguished guests and supporters. Long-time hospital donors and supporters will be admitted into the new patient room when receiving services at the hospital.
