MARCH Foundation sponsors 12 Students to Summer Discovery Camp
June 2017, Dallas TX – The MARCH Foundation sponsored 12 students to attend Summer Discovery Camp at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
The outstanding students, which were identified by both DISD campus, Charles Rice Learning Center and the African American Museum of Dallas, participated in chemistry, paleontology and engineering camps throughout the summer.
Katherine Gagné, Manager of Children and Family Learning comments, “We are so grateful to the MARCH Foundation for making it possible for children who would otherwise have been unable to attend our Discovery Camp program come and participate in a week of science learning. Our goal is to present science in a fun, hands-on way that encourages our campers to want to explore further and spark an interest in STEAM careers that they might not have otherwise considered by experiencing all the Perot Museum has to offer.”
