MARCH Awards $10k Grant to Minnie’s Food Pantry

Dallas – August 2020 The MARCH Foundation awarded a $10k grant to Minnie’s Food Pantry to serve more than 500 families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant is part of the MARCH Foundation’s Dallas Single City Initiative. The demand for food continues to increase as individuals and families face unemployment, according to Lynette Wellington, Director of Minnie’s Food Pantry.

The MARCH Foundation and Wellington partnered with Alpher Garrett-Jones, Principal of Paul L. Dunbar Learning Center in Dallas to provide a pick-up location across two days.

Minnie’s Food Pantry is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization that provides over ONE MILLION MEALS to more than 60,000 individuals annually. As one of the largest food pantries in North Texas, Minnie’s Food Pantry has been named the #1 Charity in Dallas and Community Partner of The Year by The City of Plano.
