April, 2014 | Categories: Charity event, Fundraiser

The annual James Pierce Golf Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Ted Rhodes Golf Course in Nashville, Tennessee. The golf tournament was started in memory of Jim Pierce ,who was one of the founding members of the MARCH Foundation. Jim’s support of the community and the education of our young people is part of his living legacy. The objective of the golf tournament is to raise money to help support students by providing scholarships. Hazel Pierce was presented a special award for her tireless work in making the tournament honoring her late husband a success.

MARCH board members Ken Parks, Elzie Epps, Norm Carmichael, Don Wofford and Ron Spencer traveled to Nashville to participate in the fundraiser. Ken presented Hazel with a $ 6500 check which represented a special contribution from all board members to support the fundraiser.

We support the education of African American youth.
