James Harris (UPS Retired Corporate Counsel) has 30 years of experience practicing law in both private practice and as an in-house attorney for UPS. In his law practice, he has provided services in the areas of intellectual property, advertising, sponsorships, entertainment, technology and business contracts. Mr. Harris is a U.S. registered patent attorney. He has also served as a Commissioner on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness and as an adjunct professor at Columbia College in Chicago.
Before practicing law, Mr. Harris has worked as a project engineer for General Motors. He received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee State University and obtained an M.B.A. at Emory’s Goizueta School of Business.
