Eric Leufroy joined UPS in 1974 as a part-timer unloading package cars in Los Angeles, CA, and retired in 2008 as the West Region Controller. Eric’s leadership, passion, and business acumen were the hallmarks of his tenure and distinguished career.
Eric worked in many Finance and Accounting capacities and directed Finance and Accounting resources in Canada, United States, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean. He worked as a District Controller in Houston, TX and Secaucus, New Jersey and was an Accounting Office Manager in Phoenix, AZ. He crafted and honed his skills while working every accounting supervisory position in his early years at UPS. In 2000 he served as Vice President of Operations for UPS Capital Corporation. Eric also worked in Business Information and Analysis and increased the profitability of top accounts by $75M as the Post Profitability Controller in 2001. From 2002 to 2003, while serving as one of three Package Operations Support Managers, Eric seamlessly coordinated training and communications for over 150,000 employees across the country. From 2003 to 2004, as the Southeast Region Controller Coordinator, Eric successfully merged the financial data of six domestic districts, totaling more than $5B in annual revenue and $3.5B in annual expenses. From 2006 to 2008, Eric controlled all activities for the 13-state, West Region. He, along with the Region’s business planning team, developed highly successful business planning strategies to reach corporate revenue objectives. Eric was also the Americas Region Controller for UPS Supply Chain Solution, a UPS subsidiary that focuses on warehousing large, heavy freight as well as distribution.
Eric has successfully utilized his advanced business acumen to assist community organizations. He currently serves as a Board Member and Assistant Treasurer for the MARCH Foundation. He is the Board President for the 100 Academy of Excellence in North Las Vegas. He has served on the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board for the State of Nevada, was a Board member for the 100 Black Men in Atlanta, GA, and a member of the Urban League’s Black Executive Exchange Program. Eric was also an exemplary UPS Board Member for the Community Agency of New Jersey and a Loan Executive for United Way of America in Phoenix, AZ.
Eric graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a B.S. in Accounting. He and Vanecia have been married for 35 years and have two daughters, Ericia and Ena.
